Design Advisory Group (DAG) 

The role of the Level 3 Design Advisory Group (DAG) is to oversee, review, consult and approve the development of the end-to-end business processes, system and data architecture that delivers the detailed system design.

DAG is chaired by Justin Andrews. It consists of technical experts from each Programme constituency participant and a representative from Ofgem as an observer.

DAG is the primary decision-making authority for the system and solution design, ensuring that participant perspectives are represented during decision-making, and enabling transparency of design artefacts for impacted constituency groups and stakeholders.

DAG can delegate appropriate tasks and activities to Level 4 Working Groups. Like PSG, it may also receive escalations from lower level groups and ensure consensus can be reached so the Programme design work can progress to plan. It can also advise the PSG and other groups if required.

Business Process Requirements Working Group (BPRWG)

The role of the BPRWG is to develop the business processes and requirements for the end-to-end MHHS design. The BPRWG enables Industry Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to come together to review the existing business process maps and requirements, and to work through outstanding questions and issues, to refine these to the next level detail to enable recommendations to the Design Advisory Group (DAG) for approval.

Security Design Working Group (SDWG)

The role of the SDWG is to review the security architecture recommendations made by the Architecture Working Group (AWG). All Security Design Artefacts will be recommended to DAG for approval.  

This group also reviews systems and specifications to ensure the secure connectivity of market participants to the Data Integration Platform (DIP) and to deter, detect, prevent, and investigate security incidents in line with National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) best practice. The SDWG also enables learning and shares lessons with market participants, to provide and effect a Pro-Security Culture.

Technical Design Working Group (TDWG)

The role of the TDWG is to review the architecture recommendations made by the Architecture Working Group (AWG). It also contribute to the technical Design Artefacts to enable industry participants to start their own system development .

This group reviews the physical dimensions and specification of the proposed new Data Integration Platform (DIP).

Design Resolution Group (DRG)

The DRG's role is to discuss solutions and make recommendations on Design Issues raised against the baseline MHHS Design. The DRG is part of the Design Review Process and will be used to discuss Design Issues that may impact different constituencies to reach a consensus on the changes required.
