Service Activation
Please note: Service Activation updates will no longer be published on the MHHS website as this is now a Helix business as usual (BAU) activity.
If you have any questions on Service Activation, please contact Elexon Support.
Service Activation is the process where following successful Qualification, participants are onboarded to Elexon’s new systems.
The table below demonstrates when Programme participants will go live, even though participants may be Qualified in earlier pathways.
Service Activation is a prerequisite to Migration, meaning that all participants will need to complete their Service Activation activities to start migrating their Meter Point Administration Numbers (MPANs) post Qualification.
The expectation is that Service Activation will take between one to two weeks to complete for each participant. The process is owned and managed by Elexon, with input from Qualification teams (Balancing & Settlement Code (BSC) and/or Retail Energy Code (REC)), the Data Integration Platform (DIP) Manager and participants.
- Figure 1 shows key participant activities and touchpoints throughout the Service Activation journey which are highlighted in light blue in the flow diagram below
- Figure 2 provides more information against each step of the flow
